Milovan Pančić has been involved in artistic and pedagogical work for over four decades. After completion of his studies at the Department for Theory of Music and Department for Mandoline in Music Conservatory in Prizren, he was enrolled at the Faculty of Music in Belgrade where he got degrees in Ethnomusicology, Music Pedagogy (class of Konstantin Babić) and Conducting (class of Živojin Zdravković). He got his MA degree in the class of Darinka Matić Marović. He also refined his skills under the guidance of Vojislav Ilić.
He started his career in the Academic Choir Ivo Lola Ribar in 1971 as an assistant conductor, and in 1978 he became principal conductor of this choir. Beside this, he was conductor of the Academic Choir Abrašević. Since 1971, he has also worked occasionally as a conductor with the Artistic Ensemble of the Army.
As a conductor of these ensembles Pančić gave first performances of more than 100 works. His vast repertoire includes, among others, pieces of Serbian, Bulgarian and Russian composers (Rachmaninov, Chesnokov, Bortniansky, Stravinsky, Kedrov, Tchaikovsky, Archangelsky, Shishkin, Izerov) as well as the greatest works of worldwide musical heritage of secular, spiritual and vocal-instrumental music. He made numerous recordings of these masterpieces, as well as many recordings for Radio and TV shows.
Milovan Pančić won many prizes with choirs Lola and Abrašević at the most important competitions in the country and abroad. He was awarded The October Prize of City of Belgrade for music achievements in 1996. He won Golden Medal in 2006 and Golden Link in 2014 as well as Vuk’s Prize in 2011.

hor-akud-lola-1Academic Choir Ivo Lola Ribar was founded in 1944. Nearly 9500 singers were members of the choir, and some of them became members of the Belgrade Opera (Radmila Bakočević, Miroslav Čangalović, Biserka Cvejić, Oliver Njego).
Their repertoire consists of the most important works of Serbian and international secular and sacred music. They performed more than 3200 concerts in Europe, North America, USA, Mongolia and China.
Choir was the winner of the first and special prizes at the most important choir competitions in the country and abroad (Great Britain, Bulgaria, Greece, Hungary, Bosnia and Herzegovina).
The choir made several LP and CD recordings for PGP.
In concerts, they presented some of the most capital works of the international music literature such as: IX Symphony (Beethoven), Requiem (Faure), War Requiem (Britten), Requiem (Mozart), Requiem (Cherubini), Carmina burana (Orff) and Die Fledermaus (Strauss).
Academic Choir Ivo Lola Ribar was conducted by the outstanding artists: Borivoje Simić, Dušan Skovran, Dušan Maksimović – Dumaks, Jovan Šainović, Ivo Dražinić,  Vesna Šouc, Dragana Radaković, Zorica Mitev, Olivera Barac, Milica Tišma and Milovan Pančić.
Today, the Choir counts around 100 active members and spreads the name Lola all over the world. Since 2010 the conductor of the choir has been Milovan Pančić who has achieved great successes with this ensemble on various domestic and international scenes.
In February 2015 the Choir made a huge success on prestigious International Festival Choir Ensembles in Chelyabinsk (South Ural Region, Russia).
