Violinist Edwin E. S. KIM is actively performing throughout the world with Europe as a centre. Edwin collaborated in invitational performances with Biel Symphony Orchestra, Gottingen Symphony Orchestra, Prague Radio Symphony Orchestra, Prague Chamber Orchestra, Regensburg Philharmonic Orchestra, Southern Arizona Symphony Orchestra etc. He also presented numerous recitals and chamber concerts in Germany, Austria, Poland, Spain, Italy, the United Kingdom and etc.
He not only performed in Europe and American Continent, but also in Asia, especially in Korea with KBS Symphony Orchestra, Korean Chamber Orchestra, KT Chamber Orchestra, Busan Philharmonic Orchestra, Ulsan Symphony Orchestra, Chungnam State Philharmonic Orchestra, Kyungbuk State Symphony Orchestra, Changwon Philharmonic Orchestra, Daegu Symphony Orchestra, Prime Philharmonic Orchestra, Daegu Melos Orchestra, Wonju Philharmonic Orchestra, Jinju City Orchestra and etc. His recent performance with Gwangju Symphony Orchestra at 2014 Korean Orchestra Festival received a big standing ovation and was specially broadcasted on live through ARTE TV and KBS Classic FM and it is still on rerunning. In June 2014, he was invited to the prestigious Litomyšl Festival, that has 55 years of history and played with Leos Swarovski and Pardubice Chamber Orchestra. In the same year, he captured Prague audience through playing with The Prague Radio Symphony Orchestra and received a big praise; ‘He presented a deep touch that could never be described by a human language!’ ‘Expectably, he is more than enough to join the top ranks of European musicians.’
Every year in August since 2012, Edwin as an Artistic Director as well as a musician, holds Lech Classic Music Festival that European royal families and global VIPs visit. With a spotlight focused on his play, the 2014 opening programme of the festival was broadcasted by ORF national broadcast and all performances were on air live on radio. From 2012, the live albums of Lech Classic Music Festival are being released every year.
Edwin, who showed the distinguished musicianship early in Europe, is a top prize winner of the Zinetti International Chamber Music Competition, Maria Canals International Music Competition, Tibor Varga International Violin Competition, ‘Rodolfo Lipizer’ International Violin Competition and Spohr International Violin competition. Starting with a release of the CD by Azzurra Music sponsored by Verona City Italy in 2008, his second CD was released in 2010 by Telos Music Records, Germany for 200th Schumann’s birth anniversary. His latest CD Sehnsucht with solo violin music by J. S. Bach, Ysaÿe and Bartók, was released in 2017 on Decca label.
Edwin E. S. KIM is an artist of World Culture Networks – WCN. He was born in Seoul, Korea and graduated summa cum laude all from Seoul Arts High School, Vienna National University of Music, Austria, and Hanover National University of Music, Germany.
In 2012, He has been appointed as a professor of Violin at Hanyang University in Seoul.
Natalija Mladenović began with piano lessons aged five in her native Samara (Russian Federation). She enrolled in the Central Music School of the “Tchaikovsky” Conservatory in Moscow aged 11, where she studied with professors Vladimir Bunin and Anatoly Ryabov. She was admitted to the Moscow State Conservatory Tchaikovsky aged 17, where she studied in the classes of Larissa Dedova, Irina Osipova and Yevgeny Malinin. She continued her postgraduate studies at the same school which she completed in 1996 with honors. She is the laureate of the international piano competitions Petar Konjović in Belgrade and Nikolai Rubinstein in Paris.
Natalija Mladenović has performed all over former USSR, Germany, Switzerland, France, Bulgaria, Denmark, Montenegro, Croatia… As a soloist she has performed with the Samara Philharmonic Orchestra and RTS (Radio and Television of Serbia) Symphony orchestra under the baton of Angel Šurev and Bojan Suđić. Permanently based in Belgrade, Serbia, she was a member of the ensemble of soloists which performed the operas Zora D. and The Marathon (commission of the Bregenz Festival) by Isidora Žebeljan in Serbia and on international tours. She has collaborated with many distinguished soloists such as: cellists Kiril Rodin, Stefan Popov, Xenia Jankovic, Mineo Hayashi, Alexandre Bouzlov, Marc Coppey, violinists Sreten Krstić, Mateja Marinković, Jovan Kolundžija, Dragan Lawford, Raul Garcia Marian and Srđan Grujić. She was the piano accompanist at the public class held by Mischa Maisky in Belgrade. She took part in all important music festivals in Serbia: Belgrade Music Festival – BEMUS, Novi Sad Music Festival – NOMUS, Nis Music Festival – NIMUS, Belgrade International Cello Fest, International Review of Composers in Belgrade. She was the official piano accompanist at the International Jeunesses Musicales Competition in Belgrade in 2001, 2005, 2006, 2010 and 2014.
She is employed full time as a Collaborative pianist at the String Instruments Department of the Faculty of Music, University of Arts in Belgrade. She holds a teaching position at the Arlemm Summer School.
