crnucanjka 01Traditional vocal group Crnućanka is one of the oldest vocal groups in Serbia. Princess Ljubica Obrenović, wife of the Prince Miloš Obrenović, initiated its founding all the way  back in 1812, in the village Gornja Crnuća, in the Gornji Milanovac municipality.
The group consists of a male and female group – 13 singers perform in each. The leader of the female group is Olga Krasojević, while the leader of the male group is Dušan Jakovljević.
Since its founding up until the present, with short interruptions, this group has successfully presented the traditional folk singing of the area.
They have won the European Plaque for Arts in Hamburg in 1976. The male vocal group performed in the United States the same year, during the celebration of 200 years of independence. The group has also received the Golden Plaque on the occasion of the marking of 200 years since the Second Serbian Uprising in Takovo, awarded by the Gornji Milanovac Municipality in 2015.
The group has always achieved impressive results at various competitive festivals.
