VIVA MUSE Ensemble Performs Three Encores at BEMUS in Sold-out Hall of the Belgrade Philharmonic

The Russian ensemble VIVAMUSE held a concert as part of the 54th BEMUS, on Tuesday, 8 November 2022, in the sold-out Hall of the Belgrade Philharmonic, with as many as three encore performances.

 

VivaMuse consists of leading musicians of the St Petersburg State Capella Symphony Orchestra and soloists of the Glinka Choir, one of the oldest choirs in Europe: Evgeniya Klevtsova (first violin, artistic director), Natalia Grinyuk (second violin), Alexey Andreev (viola), Natalia Neskoromnaya (cello), Alexey Vyahirev (harpsichord), Liudmila Sidenko (mezzo-soprano).

 

The ensemble performed the following compositions: Antonio VivaldiConcerto ‘L'estro armónico’ (The Harmonic Inspiration) No. 5 for Two Violins, Strings and Basso Continuo, A major, RV519 (Op.3); Georg Friedrich HaendlGismonda’s aria ‘Vieni, o figlio’ from the opera ‘Ottone, re di Germania’; Antonio VivaldiConcerto No. 8 for Two Violins, Strings and Basso Continuo, A minor, RV 522 (Op. 3); Antonio VivaldiAnastasio’s aria ‘Sento in seno’ from the opera ‘Giustino’; Georg Friedrich HaendelConcerto Grosso Op. 6 No. 4, A minor, HWV 322; Arcangelo CorelliConcerto Grosso Op. 6, No. 8, G minor ‘Christmas Concerto’; Antonio VivaldiFarnace’s aria ‘Gelido in ogni vena’ from the opera ‘Farnace’; Arcangelo Corelli – Concerto Grosso Op. 6, No. 4, D major.

 

VivaMuse takes an active part in the cultural life by performing at various events, including those held at the St Petersburg Philharmonic Hall, the State Hermitage Museum, the Great Hall of the Gnessin Russian Academy, the State Russian Museum, the Moscow Theological Academy, the Kaliningrad Cathedral, and the St Petersburg State Capella itself. The performance of the ensemble in Hamburg, in the framework of the Russian Seasons International Festival, was a great success. VivaMuse is also the holder of the first-degree diploma of the All-Russian Competition Musical Talents of Russia 2020 in the chamber ensemble nomination. Dedicated to popularization of art, the ensemble performs a wide range of musical styles: from baroque music to contemporary composers.
