CREATIVE MASTER WORKSHOP OF JOVAN KOLUNDŽIJA

From October 12th to 19th, selected young musicians from string departments currently learning at music high schools across Serbia, will have a unique opportunity to work within the Creative Master Workshop of acclaimed Serbian violinist Jovan Kolundžija. The most talented violinists, violists, cellists and doublebassists, all of them awarded on national and international competitions, will take part in a Festival Orchestra, which will present on the final concert at Kolarac Hall on October 19th.
Orchestra members will be chosen through selection of applications and biographies of candidates, and in the board will be Jovan Kolundžija, Artistic Director of Bemus Zoran Erić, and music editors in Jugokoncert. Names of the orchestra members will be announced until September 20th as latest. Jugokoncert will arrange accomodation and full board for participants who don't live in Belgrade.
Collaborator on this workshop and one of the soloists at the concert will be renowed pianist and professor at the Music Faculty in Belgrade Nada Kolundžija. Apart from Jovan Kolundžija, workshop leader will be a guest from Croatia, maestro Mladen Tarbuk, who will also conduct at the concert, and another soloist will be young Slovenian violinist Lana Trotovšek. An inspiring program consists of compositions by Vivaldi, J. S. Bach and Dvorak, as well as the Serbian premiere of Tirol, Concerto for piano and strings by Philip Glass.
