Art Festivals are like mirror reflections: they are testaments of a culture and its communication with the world, a glance to the future, a step out of the routine, an expression of creative efforts and vitality, concentrated power of an environment to answer complex questions of contemporary existence and its readiness to cope with authenticity. International festivals are bridges connecting us to the others, between the past and the future, between different cultures and numerous creative individuals opening new paths for social and cultural dialogue. They are moderators of mobility, innovation, cooperation, synergy... Likewise, festivals are an attractive form of the audience animation for the unique journey towards the better and nicer side of our lives.

In this particular moment, which is not in favor of culture and arts, the most representative international festivals in Serbia formed together their Association – SEFA. The goal is to  provoke an awareness of the festivals' importance and to construct a potent creative and productive channel in a dialogue with the founders, financiers and sponsors, as well as to initiate a new battle for better social, cultural and infrastructural position of the festivals and better situation for arts and culture in general.

SEFA president
